Being faithful, Does God need the faithful Man or Woman?

“To be faithful while living in the Word of God as Stewards amidst the generation of the end of the end times”

newyork 300x204 Does God need the faithful Man or Woman

It is imperative that God has faithful men and women who follow a faithful God using the Word of God which is true and faithful , being saved by the Lamb of God who was faithful to what his Father called him to do. Luke 3:4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

It is surely a bountiful blessing to find yourself in scripture. I believe being faithful is the first thing God seeks his children to be! To find that place which speaks to you or your situation such as knowing the God whom we serve has helped other people as we. No doubt it is hard for many to grasp on to this fact if they don’t believe. For me, however, I believe, but the Holy Spirit does the job to make scripture real and the Lord fulfills his word towards me. Now I don’t have all the answers as you well know, but I do know who does. Today as I read in Genesis 39, which is about Joseph, he was blessed and prospered. That’s right, even in slavery and under the holder’s arm of slave owner Potiphar. Then when things all looked fine, Joseph was accused of indiscretion with the wife of Potiphar and wham! That’s when he went into prison. Now he was innocent, a believer in his God, and everything seemed to go wrong. But Joseph was faithful in spite of what occurred to him. In this chapter, however, we find the Lord God prospering Joseph, even in Prison. The point of this is, God can prosper and bless his servants in ways only he knows of. He can bring your life into this arena. Today we think of money, homes, cars, and a big bank account to be considered prosperous. But in Gods economy, even a slave or a prisoner can be prosperous. That is Gods way. What he did for Joseph, he can and will do for you, if you remain faithful unto him. That is, to cause his grace to shine towards you. In essence, to make you prosperous no matter what situation you’re in.

Moreover, David is one King we all know. Probably every child in Sunday school was taught about David and Goliath. We have all been taught about, preached too about David’s temptation with Bathsheba. We read where he danced before the Lord when bringing the ark back. No doubt of all biblical characters, David was one who saw it all. One who we have read about. I wonder if we really understand that this Bible character whom we call King David was a real man. He was a faithful man and stayed that way. Of course, there was a time he did sway and fell, yet in repentance came back. To this day the church is still waiting for the “Son of David”, the Messiah, and the Alpha and Omega to come back. When he does, he will fulfill the prophecies concerning David and his line upon the Throne of David. Our Lord will return to sit upon the throne of David in the Millennium. Yet, this also speaks of faithfulness, steadiness, and looking daily to the LORD. Even if a person fails, repentance before God with an honest and open heart will bring him back into Gods graces.

In twelfth psalm David writes “Help LORD, for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.”

To the chief Musician upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. (Psa 12:1 KJV)

It was a time, even for David when it seemed the faithful in the land were no more. Indeed, after King David, even Solomon, we see a collapse of the Israelite believer in his God. They may have believed, but they did wickedly. But before that, in David’s time, trouble and turmoil would follow him as King Saul rounded up his posse of men to chase and kill Gods anointed servant. From the Kings personal musician to now the hunted and hated of the land, this was David’s lot. Yet he remained faithful and even refused to kill Saul when given the chance. David left the judgment to God. Yet as we look at what David says in this Psalm, we can take note today as well, for it describes a like-minded and acting society as ours. In short, man has not changed. That is because sin is the same then as now. It is rebellion, in born, and man has a tendency towards it. Only with God’s help can man be redeemed and reborn to walk in his ways in power.

It is worthy to note here that David doesn’t speak of adultery, fornication, or other obvious sins. He speaks of exactly what James touched on in his epistle. In short, the tongue, a flame of fire, a world of iniquity, this is how it speaks. It encompassed the land as David says here “they speak vanity [uselessness] everyone with his neighbor, flattering lips, a double heart do they speak. They speak one way in order to get what they desire. It was not from the heart, it was out of lust, greed, and avarice. A desire to get something for themselves personally was the goal. Out a proud heart they gave forth flattery in order to obtain. Not out of friendship, love, compassion, but out of selfishness and personal desires. They spoke to obtain what they really wanted. If they had to lie, flatter, and act in a certain way, they would.

They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. (Psa 12:2 KJV)

The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: (Psa 12:3 KJV)

Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? (Psa 12:4 KJV)

This is the way of men and women today, even in many churches. Gossip, slander, critical spirits, and more which flow out of tongues like a river flowing out of a poison lake. This also occurs in the secular arena as well. It seems long gone is the true holiness, even of the tongue. Many times, including Christians the God of the universe is not God over our tongues or what we say. Yet the warnings in scripture are clear, the Lord will hold us accountable for all we speak and all we do.

In action love of God and being faithful
The society in which we live carries on as if God doesn’t see. But he will arise. Here David mentions that the LORD rises on the behalf of:

1. The oppression of the poor
2. The sighing of the needy
3. To set him in safety from his that puffeth at him [the bully’s, oppressors ect]

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. (Psa 12:5 KJV)

It is important for us as believers to be faithful, to walk in the LORDS way. To do his will and keep ourselves from such things and in this let us find that place in service to the Lord. A service where we can relieve the oppression of the poor, the sighing of the needy, and set those in safety who were aforetime in captivity or bondage of some kind. This is our goal, in love, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, not only to believe on him, to preach his Gospel, but to see the poor and afflicted as God sees them. We are his hands and feet.

God is faithful and His Word is true and faithful , so we should be faithful
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. (Psa 12:6 KJV)

Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psa 12:7 KJV)

The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. (Psa 12:8 KJV)

No doubt today David’s final words in this psalm are “the wicked walk on every side, when the vilest of men are exalted”. Today we are in affirmation of that very fact. Wickedness is rampant; blasphemy is outspoken and egregious against our God. Our Lord is blasphemed, his word ridiculed, and his people awash in complacency. Yet for you and I we are required as his servants, ministers, stewards, and lights to be faithful To not allow the flame of mediocrity and illusion blind us. We are to walk in the truth of the Word of God and let that truth lead us through the Holy Spirit. Before this statement by David, however, we see this “the words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them O LORD; thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

These two verses speak volumes of David’s faith and how it was revealed into action, i.e. being faithful to what God called him too! He saw the wickedness, the iniquity, the slanderers, hypocrites, as those who oppressed the poor. David in spite of these liars, cheats, rich men, and religious hypocrisy, he saw something else. He saw that in the midst of wickedness and wicked ways, there is hope. He first saw the perfection of God’s word. It can be trusted, for it is pure, so pure as if you tried silver in fire to remove the impurities. But in this scenario it is tried 7 times. Even as humans and processing gold or silver, we could never get it 100% pure. But God, the typology for 7 times, is perfection. With God, his word is perfect and no matter how we try it or mankind as whole judges it, Gods word is perfect. It is then, David says, in this Word of the LORD, he found hope and solace. He believed Gods word and knew if his LORD said it, it would come to pass. Therefore, in all of David’s experiences, he came to know this God and His Word. He would cry unto the LORD and his God would hear him. God never failed him, nor did Gods word fail. It couldn’t, it was perfect. It is in this David then saw and hoped that although surrounded by evil and wicked men, his God would preserve him and all the faithful from it. Today we have this hope as well. For God can and will preserve his faithful. He knows how to deliver the faithful from the wickedness and vile things that are rampant today.

This is also seen in the Apostle Paul’s words in first Corinthians. He is speaking to the many issues facing Corinth and says to them that they should “account of us [meaning Paul and those with him”] as ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” Paul directly associated himself and what he did as a “minister” and a “steward”. He was one who had a direct command to fulfill. In this though, he was a steward and said of stewards, even of himself “it is required in stewards that a man is found faithful.”

The faithful steward.
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. (1Co 4:1 KJV)

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. (1Co 4:2 KJV)

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self. (1Co 4:3 KJV)

For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord. (1Co 4:4 KJV)

It was imperative to the Corinth church to know this. In dealing with trouble, Paul had been given a command and as a steward had to follow through in faithful manner. The trouble was that men did not want correction and rejected his words at the time. There was trouble, especially divisions and fornication and Paul was going to deal with all the problems. But in the course of it, men would judge and speak against Paul. To this Paul was addressing those saying, “it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man’s judgment: yea I judge not mine own self.” Further he says, “he that judgeth me is the Lord.” It did not matter to this Apostle that men judged him or what others thought. He did not even trust his own judgment. For this he looked to the Lord as his judge. Therefore, Paul stood before them as a steward of Christ, judged by Christ, and sent by Christ to them. Paul was to teach the mysteries of God if men judged, rebelled, and criticized, they were criticizing the Lord.
So too, you and I today are living in the end times and as his servants, his stewards, we are to maintain, keep, and be faithful to those things our Lord has entrusted us with. As his servants and lights that means to walk in this life as close to what the Lord has told us to do as possible. For those living in these end times, we must walk in faith, having overcome by the blood of the Lamb. We must also keep and give our testimony of Jesus Christ, what our Lord did for us and through us. In this we let people know of the gospel of God and the only redeemer between God and Man, Jesus Christ our Lord. Finally, as stewards we are to do this, no matter how many people may hate us, persecute us, chase us, or even kill us. This is our stewardship in the end times. This requires us to be faithful, my friends.

Reward of being faithful and steadfast in the Lamb of God.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

In closing let me remind you of our Lords words. Let us all be about his business, working, watching, and waiting for his return as good stewards. Let our hearts be found in him in obedience out of love for him. Let it not be out of duty, but out of sincere heart as a servants love for his master wanting to please him. But also let us love as true Son’s of God, adopted through our Lord unto the Father. Let us not be or get caught up in the vain fleshly carnal things many do today. Refrain from the vanity and seek that which is eternal.

The faithful servant; scriptures pointing out faithful servant admonitions.

Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. (Luk 12:33 KJV)

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Luk 12:34 KJV)

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; (Luk 12:35 KJV)

And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately. (Luk 12:36 KJV)

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. (Luk 12:37 KJV)

And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. (Luk 12:38 KJV)

Luk 12:37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
