Apocalypse: Day of Watchman Cometh

(1)  Woe is me! for I am as when they have gathered the summer fruits, as the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.
(2)  The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

America has no shortages of Apocalyptic movies which reveal varied imaginations of men and the evil they can conjure up in their movies. Such is the method of movies and books on Apocalyptic genres, especially today. The Apocalyptic nature is usually a hell set on earth; more often than not they take America and set it in the middle of the end of the world landscape. This becomes a life of sheer unbelief as characters are caught up in a game of life and death chess in the author’s Apocalyptic world. Such is the case of many such movies in the past that I have either read reviews, saw the trailers, or in fact saw the Apocalyptic movie. This usually ends with more questions than answers. Usually they have a goal, to bring such a horrid, unreal, and true to life detail about the end of life as they can conceive.

Moreover, the Mad Max series with Mel Gibson had this mentality. As one review of the movie put it:
The world is described as “crumbled and…the cities have exploded”; there have been uprisings and social disorder due to energy shortages; and that “two mighty warrior tribes” had gone to war. The governments attempted to restore order, but life has become a “whirlwind of looting and a firestorm of fear, in which men began to feed on men.

Usually there is just enough plausible science and trouble in the world to make the picture believable. Such today is the case of Mad Max and other such movies. Many who watch such storylines seem to like the action and nature of it. “Apocalypse, end of the world, out of the ordinary, yes; that’s for me”, they say!
Usually the movies have short by lines such as “Category 7, the END OF THE WORLD” which is featured on a double disaster DVD we have. Or maybe a 9.0 earthquake is not enough, no, let’s have one larger and name it “10.5 APOCALYPSE”, THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW HAS ARRIVED. Then there is 2012 “SUPERNOVA”, AND “THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW” about the ice age arriving and hitting the world. Usually to sell these bylines and the story, the science again has to be realistic: global warming, solar flares, tsunamis, and melting ice caps, ring of fire in the pacific-earthquakes and volcanoes, etc.
Of course may I remind you that the American public and people in general have a tendency to need excitement? That is unless you’re just back from war, gone through a famine, tsunami, earthquake, or some other thing. If that is the case, the last thing you want to see is a disaster, end of the world, Apocalyptic movie. Years ago I had a conversation with a young man who loved to play on his game boy. The games were surrealistic violence, murder, wars, and zombies.  I did not realize that bloodshed and zombies were so much in the culture, but it was then and is now.  We talked about the end times and what was coming. In the beginning he told me of future prophecy of zombies taking over the world. He was excited as he rattled off his knowledge of it. There was even a whole venue of forums, webpages, and science behind it he said. There are even Preachers who give prophecy on a zombie takeover. What’s more, it was prophecy? Prophecy I asked? Let me tell you about Prophecy!
I proceeded to tell him the truth, as I laid out the biblical prophecy of what is coming not only to America, but to the world. I laid out the whys, that God was shaking the world. That men and nations have rebelled against God and they must be wakened. The curse has devoured the earth I said and pointed out the scripture in Isaiah.
Isa 24:6  Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
It didn’t have to do with zombies, earthquakes, aliens, nephilim, solar flares, and all the other things men put first. The one thing that man does and cannot bring himself to admit too is one word, one-three syllable word. That word is SIN! The Apocalypse is not about excitement either. The movies and books that feature Apocalypse and disasters may excite you now, but when you’re living it, believe me you will wish or more importantly maybe you will pray that you were back in that nice comfortable home in the America [or whatever nation] you used to know.  Really, it is hard to grasp why the American psyche especially seems attuned to such trash and trivial pursuits as playing game boys, watching endless hours of videos, going to movies, and reading books that do no heavenly good.  It is trash and trivial when you consider the amount of filth, bloody horror, porn, rape, lust, and violence that is in these mediums. I use the word medium because it is appropriate here. Medium has several meanings, not only a “means of mass communication”, but it is a “substance carrier” through which something is “transmitted”. It is related to the supernatural and paranormal, where “spirits transmit messages between living people and the spirits on the other side”. In this case, these spirits are not grandpa Jones or smith; they are demonic entities who know that to infiltrate the mind with lies and tripe garbage that is in direct rebellion to the Lord God. Through this media and transference they are able to control that mind if the person gives themselves wholeheartedly to it. If they can control, harness, and make the minds of children believe such stuff, they can become as adults a generation that is without conscience. They are in fact controlled by the things they watch, see, believe, and are convinced it is the truth.
What this leads too is the real Apocalypse. A place and a time when the deceiver who will be believed shall use all media at his disposal, plus the dark realm to convince people that the truth is what he tells them. When he declares himself to be God in the Temple of God, they will believe him. For this generation is one that has “rejected the love of the truth [the gospel of Jesus Christ] and they will believe a lie, this is a lie that is accompanied with lying signs and wonders.  These are real signs and wonders, they are 100 % real, but they will lie as to who is doing them!  That doesn’t mean the deceiver won’t use media, technology, and the dark realm to further enhance his message, he will use all these. What is more the Lord God will allow this by “sending a delusion in this form so that people will believe this lie. Why? Because the generation of men have rejected the truth of God!
As a matter of fact, the Torah covers this; when a prophet or dreamer of dreams gives a sign or wonder and it comes to pass! But the sign coming to pass is not the key here. Although it will come to pass, the key here is to know the real biblical warning. That is to keep the commandments of the Lord. In this case, keep your soul, trust in the Lord Jesus Christ no matter what and don’t fall for lies!
Deu 13:1-4 KJV
(1)  If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
(2)  And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
(3)  Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
(4)  Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Further, our Lord said himself of this, “don’t’ be deceived”.
Luk 21:8
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
But the real issue is here mentioned by Isaiah, and then again Paul speaks to this issue in Thessalonians. These are issues of delusion and knowing the penalty for rejecting the visitation of the Lord. This is something the church doesn’t see nor believe. It is also an issue that society rejects along with sin.  Isaiah speaking to this directly associated “their delusions” and “their fears” with not answering his call, nor hearing his words. Remember our Lord speaking to “having ears to hear”! Well many, including those in the church because of man’s doctrines have already chosen not “to hear” and thus in many end time issue’s they are blinded too and believe a delusion [such as the rapture occurring so they won’t go through this!] Paul then speaks to this issue calling it “deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish”. He calls it this because those at the time of the Son of Perdition will be deceived for they have rejected the “love of the truth [ i.e. the gospel of Jesus Christ unto salvation]. In so doing Paul says, because of this rejection, they have rejected salvation and thus assuring their perishing. God will then send them a “delusion so they can believe a lie”, since they won’t believe truth!
Isa 66:4
I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

(10)  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(11)  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12)  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
